书面表达:
Dear Eric,
I am writing to ask if you would like to do me the favor to buy a copy of Rihanna’s latest album, Anti, when you come to China next time.
As you know, I am a super fan of Rihanna, who has a talent for acting and singing. I enjoy watching the films she has acted in, and especially I cannot wait to see her next science fiction, the City of a Thousand Planets. Her album, Anti, famous all over the globe, is my favorite. Many popular songs in it are popular with your people. I am so fascinated by her unique voice that I really want to have such an album.
I’m looking forward to your early reply.
Yours sincerely
Li Hua

W:Oh, I have an important meeting downtown this afternoon, and I’ve just missed the bus.
M:It’s difficult to get a taxi here. I’ll take you in my car.
W:Thank you.
Text 2
M:Since I’m not working today, should I pick up our concert tickets so we won’t have to wait in
line tomorrow?
W:That’s a good idea.
Text 3
M:Excuse me. Could you tell me the way to Cheese Square?
W:Take the number 121 bus to Main Street, and then change to the number 806 bus. Get off at Fox Bookstore. Cheese Square is near there.
M: Thanks.
Text 4
W:Did you find the book for your reading homework in the library?
M:It closed before I got there. I had no idea that it closes so early on weekends.
Text 5
M:So what do you do in your free time?
W:I like playing soccer. What do you like?
M:Nothing special. Just hanging around.
Text 6
M: I’m sorry. I just want to make sure I understand where you were the night the bank was robbed.
W:Officer, for the third time, I tell you that I was home alone watching TV.
M:You told me you were watching the 10 p.m. show on XYZ. What was the name of the show,
madam?
W:The Court of Last Resort. How many times must I tell you?
M:Are you sure it was the program?
W:I watch it every week.
M:You’re not much of a sports fan, are you, madam? You see, it just so happened that January
19th was Super Bowl Sunday. The Court of Last Resort was canceled that week.
Text 7
W:Can you put any keys or mobile phones here, please, sir, and walk through the gate?
M:Oh, right. (Alarm rings) Oh, no!
W:Could you empty your pockets, please, sir? Put them on the desk there, please. Can you walk through the gate one more time?
M:OK. (Alarm rings) Oh, no! Not again.
W:I’m sorry, sir. But could you put your hands in the air for me, please? Oh, it’s this knife.
I’m afraid you can’t take that knife on the plane, sir.
M:What! Oh, well, you keep it.

W:Did you have a good time on holiday?
M:Yes, we had a great time.
W:What did you do?
M:Well, on Monday, the weather was really good, so we went for a long walk near the sea. It was beautiful.
W:That sounds nice.
M:On Tuesday, we wanted to go up a mountain, but it was very rainy and windy, so we visited some museums. They were quite interesting. On Wednesday, we went shopping in the city. We bought lots of great things. We spent a lot of money.
W:Oh, dear! That always happens.
M:On Thursday we visited a lake. I wanted to go boating, but the water sports centre was closed.
So we just went swimming.
W:Really? Was the water cold?
M:Yes, it was a bit! On Friday we were quite tired, so we went to the beach and relaxed with a
book. And on Saturday we came home!
W:Well, it sounds like a great holiday.
Text 9
W:Excuse me? Would you mind taking my picture?
M:Of course not. Is this your first time on the London Eye?
W:Yes, it’s a great view from up here.
M:Oh, would you like me to get St. James’ Park in the photo?
W:It doesn’t matter. Could you try to get as much of London in the background as possible before
we move down too much?
M:All right, I’ll do my best. I can get Westminster Abbey in nicely.
W:Is that the church with the round roof?
M:No, you’re thinking of St. Paul’s Cathedral. Westminster Abbey is a church where lots of
famous people are buried.
W:Really? Do you think you could take the photograph, now? Or we’ll lose the nice view.
M:Certainly. Let me see...
W:Look, just try to get a photo of the river and Big Ben.
M:You mean the tower that holds Big Ben?
W:Yes, that tall building over there.
M:The building you’re talking about is not Big Ben. Big Ben is just the bell which is inside the
tower, not the tower itself.
W:That’s very interesting, but can you take the photo, please?
M:And another thing...
W:Thanks a lot. I think I’ll just take the photo myself.

Welcome back. First here’s the traffic report every hour on the hour. It’s a busy day out on the roads. We have an accident on Central Street. There’s a bus on fire. Everybody is OK, but traffic is moving very slowly. A large group of people are standing in the middle of Oxford Street. They are standing in front of the cars, so traffic isn’t moving. The police are talking to them at the moment. Now I will tell you something about the accident on Hampton Road. There’s a lion---yes, I said a lion on Hampton Road. A lot of cars are moving slowly around it. It’s sitting in the middle of the road and looking at the cars. The police say that the lion escaped from the zoo. And we have a report coming in now from East London. There’s a big traffic problem. Someone is driving on the wrong side of the road. OK, that’s all for this report. Next comes more pop songs and the next traffic report updates at 11:00.
